EXHIBITION OVERVIEW: Echoes of Place
The Island Arts Council invites artists to submit original works that explore and interpret the rich historical tapestry of New Hanover County through visual arts. This juried exhibition seeks to celebrate our region's diverse heritage—from pre-colonial Indigenous presence through Civil War significance to modern coastal development—through the creative lens of contemporary artists.
Works will be exhibited at Fort Fisher State Historic Site, a location steeped in Civil War history and coastal heritage. Select pieces may be chosen for extended display at Fort Fisher following the exhibition, with timeframe and terms determined by the Fort Fisher Site Director.

• Historical interpretation $250
• People's Choice Award giftcard tbd
