FEM-minis is an NCWCA member exhibition centered on the expansive concept of FEM. Ideas around feminist, feminine, fem-presenting, fem-forward. The theme embraces any subject associated with women or female presenting persons; the female figure, femininity, feminism, children, dismantling the patriarchy, the lived experience of female-identifying persons, suffrage, reproductive rights, the struggle against or within the bonds of gender roles imposed by societies. It is also about claiming the space to simply be who you are, to express that joy and celebrate identity. FEM-minis invites works across media that reflect the complexity, resilience, and vibrancy of FEM in all its forms.
In addition to the theme there is an added, required, parameter: Artwork can be any size, UP TO 6 inches in any direction. The work could be a ceramic tile, a canvas, a wall mounted sculpture, or you could order a cradled wood panel or a substrate of your choice upon which you could apply works on paper or other media. The curator has included links to cradled wood panels to use as a base for paper or mixed media should you choose to use them. Artists may also choose to reverse the panel and use it as a shadowbox, adding dimensionality to the work while maintaining a standardized size.
10 pack for 17.95 at Amazon: Various 6x6 pkg or singles at Jerry’s Artarama
Pricing Suggested pricing for work in this show is between $100 and $750

We encourage submissions in all mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital art. There will be a catalog created for the show.
