The Arts Burlington Spring Sale is an event with creations from the guilds at the AGB. The
BFAA is planning to be a big part of this exciting sale but its success is dependent on having
good participation by our members. Our focus for this sale is to provide clients with small
affordable paintings

Saturday, April 18, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday, April 19, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Note regarding submission:
● Please review this document completely, and keep it for reference.
● Initial submission to BFAA is online through Entrythingy
● After your submission by Entrythingy, the information you have entered will remain accessible to you
should you need to refer to it again prior to drop off day. This information will be used to confirm your
work at drop off.
● “Work in Progress” can be submitted to Entrythingy but there can be no substitutions with a
different piece, once your piece is submitted
● Paintings will be organized for hanging by artist where more than one painting is submitted

Artist Bio Cards:
● We now have a database of Artist Bio Cards. Going forward changes will be offered only on a yearly
basis, in the Fall. If you are a new member you will be provided the opportunity to make your first time
Artist Bio Card soon after you join. Note that the same Artist Bio Cards are used for any BFAA
exhibition or sale (ie the Burlington Theatre Shows).
Submission Guidelines:
● Members may submit up to four (4) artworks
● Entrance fee for 1-4 pieces is $20 total, payable by credit card or Paypal
● All sales are subject to a 20% commission
● Last Date of Submission –MARCH 20, 2026 at midnight

Acceptable artwork selling price, size, and substrate requirements:
● FYI: for the 2025 Holiday Sale: of the 36 artworks sold, 64% were priced less than $100, and a further
28% were priced from $100 to $199.
● Art to be priced at a minimum of $50.00
● All paintings need to be properly labelled and wired as set out below
● Maximum size of artwork is 16” x 16” (maximum 16 inches in each direction; paintings may be
square, round or rectangle as long as they fit into these dimensions). Maximum dimensions include
framing.
● Paper works are to be framed under glass/plexiglass. Unframed canvas pieces will be accepted
only with neatly finished sides. Canvas depths of 3/4 inch to 2 inch are acceptable.

Conditions of Entry: Please read carefully prior to submitting
By submitting your work to the sale you are acknowledging your agreement to these Conditions of
Entry.
You will also be asked to sign a printed copy of your Entrythingy document at Drop Off. Signing will
acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Conditions of Entry, and that the information in
your Entrythingy document is correct (title, price, etc).
1. This call is open to all Burlington Fine Arts Association members in good standing. BFAA
reserves the right to make final decisions on acceptable art. The work must be suitable for
presentation in a public space, for all ages (i.e., artwork may not contain profanity, hate
speech, etc.).
2. There will be no changes to the name, image or price of the artwork after your entry
has been received. Original artwork only. No giclee prints or other print reproductions
of artwork.
3. Digital files must be in JPG (jpeg) format. Please ensure that the extension attached to the
image file is .jpg. No other formats will be accepted.
The maximum resolution should be no more than 1024 x 768 pixels at 72dpi, and be no
larger than 2MB. The image file name must be in the following format:
LastnameFirstname_title_size.jpg. Example: SmithMary_SpringMeadow_6x6.jpg.
4. All work must be exhibition ready, wired only (no string, saw tooth or alligator clips, or duct
tape) with twisted wire ends protected with masking or painters tape. Wire to be attached
with appropriate screwed in D-rings or screw hooks flat to the back of the painting. Please
see the diagram below for wiring instructions.
5. Unframed canvas pieces will be accepted with neatly finished sides only and must be wired
as noted.
6. Art that is not properly finished, wired and/or labelled, or is wet, will not be accepted into
the show.
7. If you are not able to drop off and/or pick up your work yourself, please arrange to
have a friend or family member or fellow artist do so. Please email the Coordinators
before drop off or pick up day who will be there in your place by sending an email to
[email protected].
8. The artist acknowledges that the BFAA and its representatives will not be responsible
for theft, or loss of, or damage to artwork; however, all reasonable care to safeguard
the works will be taken while entries are in the Art Gallery of Burlington.
9. It is highly recommended that each individual artist obtains personal insurance for the
Spring Sale to cover potential damage to the art caused by accident, act, omission or
by intentional act of the AGB or a third party. The artist should ensure that the
insurance covers the work(s) for the duration of the sale, exhibition, installation and
take down.

due to space limitations. Three-dimensional work is not permitted.
10. The Arts Burlington will retain a commission of 15% on all sales, BFAA will retain a

commission of 5% on all sales. Artists will receive 80% of the final sale price. All sales
will be processed by Arts Burlington, and payment to artists will be issued within 30
days following the close of the sale by BFAA.
11. The BFAA reserves the right to determine final display placement, grouping, and
layout of all artwork. Submission does not guarantee exhibition of all pieces if space
or safety concerns arise. The BFAA may remove any artwork deemed unsuitable,
unsafe, or not compliant with the Conditions of Entry.
12. By entering the Spring Sale, the artist grants the BFAA & Arts Burlington permission
to use submitted artwork images, titles, and artist names for promotional purposes,
including social media, newsletters, website, and marketing materials. No
compensation is provided for promotional use.
