ACGA is pleased to announce 'ABOVE BOARD -| Creating the Artful Dining Experience,' in partnership with Clay Hand Studios Gallery and the San Joaquin Clay & Glass Association.
This call is for artful handmade decorative and functional ceramic and glass ware pertaining to the dining experience, including functional table top wares and works for a decorative dining experience.
Juror: Michele Pracy, Director of the Fresno Art Museum
Michele Pracy is a seasoned arts administrator and curator, with over 30 years devoted to non-profit art museums and galleries; independent, and corporate exhibition spaces. Her curatorial work is devoted to a wide range of creative subjects in a variety of mediums. Her area of expertise includes the under-recognized as well as the established artist. She is a Peer Reviewer for the American Alliance of Museums traveling the U.S assessing museums in their endeavor for accreditation or re-accreditation.
Juror's Statement: 'My love of ceramics began in early childhood growing up in my maternal grandmother's house in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She managed, and bought for, the nationally known Old Pottery Shop in the 1940s and 1950s. Her house was filled with pottery made across the country.'
Gallery hours are 10am - 4pm Tuesday - Saturday.
Sales: All artwork must be for sale. Clay Hand Studios Gallery will receive a 20% commission on work sold.
Size & Installation: All pieces must be no more than 24 inches on any dimension. Wall-mounted work is acceptable if it fits the theme. Any piece deemed unstable, unsafe, or not food safe (if functional) will not be installed.
Shipping & Delivery: Artist pays shipping both ways. Details for delivery by mail or in-person drop-off and/or pick-up will be sent to accepted artists.
