Igniting The Creative Spark - Art Show, Studio 32 @ Nest Arts Factory.

THEME: 'Igniting the Creative Spark' is a celebration of the profound and multifaceted journey that artists embark upon when inspired to create. We are seeking artwork that encapsulates the passion that fuels the artistic process. Whether it's a burst of color or inspiration, a relentless pursuit of excellence or pushing creative boundaries, or a deep-seated motivation to evoke emotions, we want to showcase the myriad ways in which the creative spark manifests itself. What drives you to create?

ELIGIBILITY:
Each artist submitting work to the exhibit should provide artwork that follows the theme of the exhibit. Work that is considered offensive to gender, race, religion, etc. will not be accepted. Each artist can submit up to 5 pieces. We welcome new and seasoned Artists.

CRITERIA: All work must be wired for hanging and hand delivered to and picked up from The Nest Arts Factory (Studio 32) at 1720 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06605. Accepted artwork will need to be delivered Friday, May 3rd, from 10AM-12PM or Saturday, May 4th from 10AM-12PM (unless other arrangements are agreed upon with the explicit permission of the organizers in advance).

Art Pick Up- Sunday May 26th 10am-12PM (unless other arrangements are agreed upon with the explicit permission of the organizers in advance).

Artists should submit original work and should be signed.

Size limitation: no larger than 38' wide x 50' height framed.
NO SUBSTITUTIONS OF WORK SUBMITTED.

The organizers of the show and The Nest Arts Factory assume no liability for the artwork throughout the duration of the show (from designated drop off to designated pick up). Artists should self-insure their work if desired.

OPENING RECEPTION: Will be held Thursday, May 9th, from 6-8PM (open to the public). Light refreshments will be served.

Artwork will be displayed in the gallery from May 9th- May 27th. Outside of the opening reception, the show will be open for viewing by appointment only, arranged with Brett Masterson. Contact information will be provided upon acceptance to the show.


IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
-File format: JPEG, .png, .gif.
-File size: 5 MB maximum

JPEG images MUST BE labeled as follows:
YourLastName_Title_Media _Price_Dimensions
Example: Smith_EarlySpring_Oil_500_12x16.jpg

Height must be given before width regardless of whether the work is a vertical or a horizontal. Note that dimensions include framed size.

ENTRY FEE:
A non-refundable entry fee of $20 for first piece entry and $10 for each additional entry that is submitted at the same time. Up to 5 entries are permitted. Multiple entries from the same artist must be submitted at the same time to take advantage of the lowered entry fee. Entry fees must be paid to Rise Up Group PayPal link, which accepts credit cards. Your entry will not be valid until payment is received. Not all entrees will be accepted.


ARTISTS ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified via email by April 26th via email.

ONCE ACCEPTED: Accepted artwork will need to be delivered Friday, May 3rd, from 10AM-12PM or Saturday, May 4th from 10AM-12PM.

COMMISSIONS / DELIVERY:
The venue will take 20% on commission on any work sold.
All artwork must be for sale w/ price provided. No 'price on request' sales allowed.
All delivery of sold artwork is the responsibility of the Artist to arrange if the buyer/Artist cannot pick up the work during the designated pickup hours.

SPECIAL NOTES:
-Do not use the 'No Publicity' option as images will not be displayed.
-Remember to enter the price per piece.
-When entering Artist Information, remember to only capitalize the first letter of your first and last name, i.e. John Doe.
