Zephyr

Pour-d is a contemporary gallery in Rockford, Michigan, inviting submissions for the 2023 juried Spring Show titled Zephyr. The exhibition will be featured in the gallery's main space, housed in a historic building in downtown Rockford, and will run from March 4 through April 30, 2023. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend the opening reception.

The gallery is seeking works featuring fine, soft, lightweight yarn or cloth, delicate color palettes, and images that evoke light and gentle breezes. All mediums and genres are considered, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, mixed media, and new genres. The entry fee is $20 (non-refundable). Submissions should include at least one image, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least one social media platform. For 2D work, submit one JPEG per entry (minimum 1000px at widest dimension, not exceeding 4MB). For 3D work, submit up to three JPEGs per entry (one full shot and up to two details). All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition; no sawtooth hangers. All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibit.

Notifications are generally sent via email within three weeks of the call closing. Selected artists receive notification of status. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Sales remittances are paid by Pour-d within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping of artworks. Hand delivery is encouraged for those within driving distance. By submitting work, artists agree the gallery may use, edit, reproduce, publish, transmit, and display images of the work for promotion and display of the exhibition and other purposes. Pour-d Gallery is not liable for artwork during transportation.
