About This Call
Price Sculpture Forest invites artists to participate in an Augmented Reality sculpture exhibition. Your physical sculpture will be digitally transformed and displayed via a custom app onto a real-world outdoor pedestal in the sculpture park's forested setting. This is the second annual AR exhibition following a successful inaugural show in 2023.
Participants can complete all preparation steps remotely from their studio or location worldwide with no travel or onsite installation required. Selected artists will receive a $1,000 honorarium and benefit from public exhibition at the sculpture park, zero commission on sales (100% to artist), and no additional costs beyond the $10 entry fee. Visitors will download the free app onsite and view sculptures via QR codes on plaques, able to walk around and view sculptures from all angles. The app will include artist information with links to websites and social media.
Submit 2-5 photos of your sculpture (ideally front and back views), online art links if available, and a resume or artist background summary. Sculptures should fit one of two themes: Nature Nurtured (beauty and appreciation for the natural world) or Whimsy Way (fun, quirky, or humorous creations). All materials and styles are welcome. The circular pedestal is 45 inches in diameter; sculptures can be any height, though those taller than 6 feet may require viewers to scan up and down. Maximum recommended width is 8 feet. Selected artists must be able to create and upload a high-resolution video by mid-January 2024. Open to international artists.
