Y/OUR Denver 2025 Photo Competition: Architecture and Nature in Harmony

The Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC) and Denver Architecture Foundation (DAF) invite photographers of all skill levels to submit images for the Y/OUR Denver 2025 Photo Competition: Architecture and Nature in Harmony. This juried competition celebrates the relationship between the built environment and the natural world in Denver. Photographers are invited to submit new or older images of architectural spaces in Denver, including black and white, color, exterior, interiors, landscape architecture, and detail images. All forms of architectural imagery are welcome. Photos must be architecture within Denver, though they are not limited to Doors Open Denver 2025 sites. Entry is open to regional and national photographers age 18 or older. Eligible media include film, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and mobile photography. No video submissions are allowed.

Submissions must include 1-3 images with an entry fee of $14. The submission deadline is Friday, July 11, 2025 at midnight MST. Applicants will be notified of acceptance on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Thirty images will be showcased in an online exhibition on the DAF and CPAC websites from September 25 – December 31, 2025, and at The Chancery (1120 Lincoln Street, Denver) from September 25 – October 3, 2025, with a reception on Thursday, September 25, 2025. The exhibition juror is David Lauer.

Best in Show will receive a CPAC individual membership, 30-minute portfolio review with the juror, Denver Architecture Foundation family membership, a copy of Guide to Denver Architecture, a Denver Architecture Foundation T-shirt, and will be featured on the Denver Architecture Holiday 2025 digital and printed card. One prize will be awarded in each of the following categories: Exterior, Interior, Nature Based Design, and Landscape Architecture, with winners receiving a CPAC individual membership, Denver Architecture Foundation family membership, a copy of Guide to Denver Architecture, and a Denver Architecture Foundation T-shirt.
