About This Call
Yountville Art, Sip & Stroll will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 11 AM-5 PM. The event anticipates more than 5,000 visitors interested in fine art and high-end, three-dimensional crafts. Artists working in painting (oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels), ceramic, art glass, metal, bronze, photography, sculpture, jewelry, or mixed media are invited to apply. All booth spaces will be grouped on Washington Street in local parks, along walking paths, and at the Community Center. Several key stops will be programmed with artists, wine, and music. A food truck round-up area with tables and chairs will be located at the Northern end of the event.
Yountville is located in the heart of Napa Valley and is known for its appreciation of art, destination hotels, and Michelin Star restaurants. Wineries and tasting rooms will pour artisan wines along the festival path. The booth fee is $150 per booth and includes a 10' x 10' peaked festival tent (no walls), one six-foot table, two chairs, and a one-day business license allowing sales in the Town of Yountville. Booths may be placed on hard paved surfaces, grass, or gravel. Electricity may not be available in some areas. Artists are responsible for their own sales and receive 100% of their proceeds. Artists must charge the local tax rate of 8% on all sales and remit sales tax according to California State tax regulations. Yountville Arts does not take a commission on sold works of art.
All products and services must be handmade by the artist. Artists who wish to participate must submit an application describing all products or services to be shown or sold. All entries will be juried. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. Booth setup begins at 7 AM, and booths must be ready for sales by 11 a.m. Breakdown cannot begin until 5 p.m., and early breakdown is not permitted. Artists who break down early will not be considered for future events. Artists must provide their own signage, walls (if desired), hanging system, and linens. Loud or offensive exhibits are not permitted, and open flames are not allowed. Work sample requirements: minimum 4 images, maximum 10 images; minimum 0 videos, maximum 1 video; total samples minimum 4, maximum 11.
