Young Street Plaza - Public Art Expression of Interest

Artists are invited to submit concepts for a permanent public artwork at the newly completed Young Street plaza, a key pedestrian space in the heart of Neutral Bay. The plaza has recently been upgraded with new paving, seating, lighting and landscaping. As part of Council’s broader program to strengthen village centres and improve everyday use of public spaces. Council is seeking creative, site‑responsive artworks that integrate with existing features of the plaza, including the concrete walls along Young Street and the central pergola. Rather than standalone sculptures, artists are encouraged to propose concepts that enhance the public domain and contribute to the identity and sense of place of this high‑use urban environment.
