Yosemite Renaissance 41

The Yosemite Renaissance Exhibition is an annual exhibit offering artists inspired by nature and the California Sierra Nevada region an opportunity to display and promote their art. The exhibit opens at Yosemite Gateway Art Center in Oakhurst in March 2026, then travels to other art centers in California through May 2026 to March 2027. Yosemite Renaissance is dedicated to the ideal that artists have played an important role in the establishment of state and national parks, inspiring people to visit iconic natural sites and protect natural resources.

The exhibit is open to visual artists and artisans worldwide working in all media including oil and acrylic painting, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, printmaking, photography, digital art, drawing, fiber art, glass, woodworking, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture. Original works only; limited edition prints and other multiples (photographs and digital/computer art) are allowed, but no reproductions. Submitted works must be created in the last 5 years. All submissions must be completed in English, and participating artists must be able to communicate in English, either directly or through an interpreter. No film, video, interactive media, or performance work.

Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $15 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 8 entries. All works submitted must be available for sale; Yosemite Renaissance retains a 40% commission on sales. Once accepted, works must be sold through Yosemite Renaissance until the close of the exhibit. $4,000 in cash awards will be announced at the opening reception at Yosemite Gateway Art Center in March 2026 (date TBD). Notification of acceptance is scheduled for February 2026 (date TBD). Venues include Yosemite Gateway Art Center in Oakhurst, Kings Art Center in Hanford, Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock, and Madera County Art Council Circle Gallery.
