Yokna Sculpture Trail

The Yokna Sculpture Trail is an outdoor sculpture exhibition open to artists 18 years of age or older who are legal residents of the United States. All works must be original and completed within the last five years. Artists may submit up to three existing works per application, with two views of each work accepted. The entry fee is $25.00 per application.

Approximately 7-9 works will be chosen for installation each year and exhibited at one of three locations: Pat Lamar Park (nine sculpture pads), Powerhouse Sculpture Garden (four pads), or Rebel Sculpture Park (three pads). Selected works must be exhibited and remain on loan from the artist from April 15, 2016 through March 1, 2018. All accepted works must be suitable for outdoor installation and durable enough to withstand adverse weather conditions. Works must be professionally constructed of durable materials with no easily damaged elements, securely attached to a durable steel mounting plate, and suitable for exterior public display with no maintenance required during the exhibition period.

Each artist whose work is selected and installed will receive a $1,500 stipend to defer travel and transportation costs: $1,000 upon successful delivery and installation, and $500 upon successful removal. Artists are responsible for any removal and storage fees incurred after April 1, 2018. Selected artists will be notified by email on February 18, 2016. Installation dates are March 1 - April 15, 2016 (by appointment), and removal dates are March 1 - April 1, 2018 (by appointment). Images must be submitted digitally at 300 DPI resolution with the largest pixel dimension being 1024, saved as JPEGs.
