About This Call
&yet is a juried exhibition of work by young emerging artists from the Atlanta area, presented by The Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott College in partnership with the Decatur Arts Alliance. The exhibition runs February 13 through March 6, 2020, at the Dalton Gallery in the Dana Fine Arts Building on Agnes Scott College's campus in Decatur, Georgia.
Artists aged 18-30 working in and around Atlanta are invited to submit visual works in all mediums. All works must be original, fully realized, and ready for hanging with necessary hardware in place. Video presentations are eligible but will be shown on a flat screen or computer monitor, as the gallery does not offer projection facilities. Applicants may submit up to three works on one application. Work samples must include 1-3 images and optionally 1 video. The application fee has been waived to limit restrictions for young artists. Entries are submitted digitally through www.callforentry.org and must be completed by midnight MST on January 3, 2020. Notification of acceptance will be by email no later than January 17, 2020.
Six $500 awards will be given through juror's awards and publicly selected people's choice awards. The exhibition will be juried by a panel of Atlanta Arts Leaders. Accepted artwork will be insured for the duration of the exhibition. The exhibition includes an arts community networking event as its closing reception, providing young artists opportunities to connect with invited artists, gallerists, and other Atlanta arts leaders. This exhibition is made possible by the James T and Ella Rather Kirk fund and sponsored in part by the Decatur Arts Alliance.
