About This Call
The Dalton Gallery of Agnes Scott College presents a juried exhibition of work by emerging artists from the Atlanta area. This is the second iteration of &yet, which debuted in January 2020 as a collaboration with community partners to connect and foster conversations among young artists from communities around Atlanta.
Emerging artists working in and around Atlanta are invited to apply with visual works in all mediums. Artwork will be juried by a panel of Atlanta Arts Leaders on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution. All works must be original, fully realized, and ready for hanging with necessary hardware in place. Video presentations are eligible but will be shown on a flat screen or computer monitor, as the gallery does not offer projection facilities. Participants may enter up to three pieces on one application, submitting 1-5 images and 0-2 videos per application.
The application fee has been waived to limit restrictions for young artists. Six $500 awards will be given through juror's awards and publicly selected people's choice awards. The exhibition runs February 3 through March 21, 2022, at the Dalton Gallery in the Dana Fine Arts Building on Agnes Scott College's campus in Decatur, Georgia. Notification of acceptance will be by email no later than January 17, 2022. All accepted work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition. This exhibition is made possible by the James T and Ella Rather Kirk fund.
