Yellowstone Art Auction 56

Yellowstone Art Auction 56 is an exhibition and fundraiser presented by the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana, running February 2 - March 2, 2024. The museum is celebrating 60 years in 2024. The auction is open to all original 2-D and 3-D media except jewelry. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are not eligible. Submitted work must have been created within the last five years, and works previously submitted to past Art Auctions are not eligible.

Artists may submit up to three works with an entry fee of $35.00 (free with coupon code YAM56). A 50-word artist statement is required for consideration in the live auction. Digital images are required (1-6 images per submission, up to 2 images per artwork). Images should be labeled with artist name and work title, and must be at least 8" by 5" at 300 dpi. Over-sized works are discouraged: 2-D works exceeding 48" high x 72" wide and 3-D works weighing over 150 pounds are considered over-sized. All 2-D works must be framed and ready to hang; all 3-D works must have proper supports and installation instructions if needed. Art must be delivered by January 14, 2024.

Accepted artists receive inclusion in the silent and live auction exhibition in the museum's main galleries, an invitation to the opening reception and gala, one copy of the full-color catalog, inclusion in the online catalog, and regional advertising and promotion. The YAM retains a percentage of sales based on the artist's selected donation level (minimum 50%). Artists making 100% donations receive a complementary YAM/NARM membership. The YAM insures all works on its premises from arrival through departure or April 1, 2024, whichever comes first. Artists are responsible for insuring work in transit. Unsold works will be returned at the YAM's expense via FedEx. Artwork unclaimed by April 1, 2024 will incur a $20 daily storage fee.
