About This Call
Yellowstone Art Auction 55 is a juried silent auction and exhibition presented at the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana from February 2 to March 5, 2023. The auction is open to all original 2-D and 3-D media except jewelry. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are not eligible. Submitted work must have been created within the last five years and must not exceed 36" x 36" x 36" in dimensions. Works submitted to past Art Auctions are not eligible.
Artists may submit up to four works. A 50-word artist statement is required for all submissions and will be included in the printed publication. Digital images are required (up to two per artwork), labeled with artist name and work title, and should be at least 8" by 5" at 300 dpi. All 2-D works must be framed and ready to hang; all 3-D works must have proper supports and installation instructions if needed. Art must be delivered to the museum by January 13, 2023.
Accepted artists receive inclusion in the silent auction and exhibition, a special invitation to opening and closing receptions and artist talks, one copy of the full-color catalog, and online catalog listing. The museum retains a percentage of sales based on the artist's selected donation level (minimum 50%). Reserve may not exceed 60% of retail value. A Buy-It-Now option allows patrons to purchase works at full retail cost plus surcharge before March 5. Unsold works will be returned to artists at the museum's expense via FedEx. The entry fee is $35.00.
