Yellowstone Art Auction 54

Yellowstone Art Auction 54 is presented in the Yellowstone Art Museum's main galleries from January 28 to March 5, 2022, in Billings, Montana. The auction is open to all original 2-D and 3-D media except jewelry. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are not eligible. Submitted work must have been created within the last five years, and works previously submitted to past Art Auctions are not eligible. Up to four works may be submitted, with artists able to submit detail images if desired. Works will be juried based on digital entries.

Accepted artists receive inclusion in the exhibition and auction, a special invitation to the opening reception and preview event on Friday, January 28, 2022, one copy of the full-color catalog, inclusion in the online catalog on YAM's website, regional advertising and promotion, an invitation to the artist meet and greet on Friday, March 4, 2022, and one complimentary ticket to the culminating event on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Artists making full donations (100%) receive special acknowledgment on exhibition signage, in the catalog, and on the website, plus a complimentary YAM/NARM membership.

Submission requires a completed application, a 50-word artist statement (required for printed publication), and digital images. Up to two images may be submitted per artwork entry. Images must be labeled with artist last name, first name, and work title, and should be at least 8" by 5" at 300 dpi. All 2-D works must be framed and ready to hang; all 3-D works must have proper supports and hanging devices. Art must be delivered by December 10, 2021. The entry fee is $25 (non-refundable). The YAM insures all works on its premises from arrival through departure or April 2, 2022, whichever comes first. Artists are responsible for insuring work in transit. Following the auction, unsold works will be returned to artists at YAM's expense via FedEx. The YAM retains a percentage of sales based on the artist's selected donation level (minimum 50%). Reserve may not exceed 60% of retail value.
