Yellowstone Art Auction 53

Yellowstone Art Auction 53 is presented in the Yellowstone Art Museum's main galleries in Billings, Montana, running from January 22 to March 6, 2021. The auction is open to all original media in 2-D and 3-D formats except jewelry. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are not eligible. Artists may submit up to four works created within the last five years. Works submitted to past Art Auctions are not eligible.

Accepted artists receive inclusion in the exhibition and auction, a special invitation to the opening reception and preview event on Friday, January 22, 2021, one copy of the full-color catalog, inclusion in the online catalog on the YAM website, widespread regional advertising and promotion, an invitation to the artist meet and greet on March 5, 2021, and one complimentary ticket to the culminating event on March 6, 2021. Artists making full donations (100%) to live or silent auctions receive special acknowledgment on exhibition signage, catalog, and website, plus a complimentary YAM/NARM membership.

Submission requires a completed application, a 50-word artist statement (required for printed publication), and digital images. Up to two images may be submitted per artwork entry. Images must be labeled with artist last name, first name, and work title, and should be at least 8" by 5" at 300 dpi. All 2-D works must be framed and ready to hang; all 3-D works must have proper supports and hanging devices. Art must be delivered to the YAM by December 11, 2020. The YAM retains a percentage based on the actual sale price, with a minimum donation of 50%. Reserve may not exceed 70% of retail value. The YAM insures all works on its premises from arrival through departure or April 2, 2021, whichever comes first. Artists are responsible for insuring work in transit. Following the auction, unsold works will be returned to artists at the YAM's expense via FedEx. Entry fee is $25.00.
