Yellowstone Art Auction 52

Yellowstone Art Auction 52 is presented in the Yellowstone Art Museum's main galleries from January 24 to March 7, 2020, in Billings, Montana. The auction is open to all original media in 2-D and 3-D formats except jewelry. Reproductions, including giclées and mechanical prints on canvas, are not eligible. Up to four works may be submitted, and all submitted work must have been created within the last five years. Works previously submitted to past Art Auctions are not eligible.

Accepted artists receive inclusion in the exhibition and auction, a special invitation to the opening reception and preview event on Friday, January 24, 2020, one copy of the full-color catalog, inclusion in the online catalog on YAM's website, an invitation plus guests to the artist meet and greet on March 6, 2020, and one complimentary ticket to the culminating event on March 7, 2020. Artists making full donations to live or silent auctions receive special acknowledgment on exhibition signage, in the catalog, and on the website.

Submission requirements include a completed application, a 50-word artist statement (required for printed publication), and digital images. Up to two high-quality digital images may be submitted for each artwork entry at minimum 8" by 5" at 300 dpi. Images must be labeled with artist last name, first name, and title of work. All 2-D works must be framed and ready to hang; all 3-D works must have proper supports and hanging devices. Over-sized objects are discouraged: 2-D works exceeding 48" high x 72" wide and 3-D works weighing over 150 pounds are considered over-sized. The entry fee is $25.00. The application deadline is October 18, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent November 22, 2019. Selected works must be delivered to YAM by December 19, 2019. Following the auction, unsold works will be returned to artists at YAM's expense via non-insured UPS shipping. Artists are responsible for insuring work in transit to and from YAM.
