Yadkin Arts Council 2024 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council, located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC, is pleased to announce the 2024 Juried Art Exhibition. This exhibition will be featured in the Welborn Gallery and Red Wall Gallery and celebrates creativity in North Carolina. Eligibility is open to 2D and 3D Fine Art artists who are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. Artists may submit up to two original works of art for consideration, though only one piece per artist may be selected for exhibition if chosen. There will be $3,500 in combined prizes awarded: First Place $1,250, Second Place $850, Third Place $500, People's Choice $200, People's Choice Runner-Up $100, and six Honorable Mentions at $100 each.

Only original works of art produced within the past three years will be accepted in the following mediums: painting, pastel, drawing, sculpture, ceramic, glass, photography, fiber arts, original hand-pulled prints, jewelry, weaving, basketry, marquetry, wood, mixed media, and digital. Submitted art must not have been previously shown at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Two-Dimensional pieces should not exceed 40 inches in width or 60 inches in height (including frame) and must weigh no more than 40 lbs. Three-Dimensional wall hanging pieces must not exceed 40 inches in width (including frames) and weigh no more than 40 lbs. All works to be hung must be professionally framed (or gallery wrapped) and securely wired. The gallery features a wire hanging system that all wall hanging pieces must be able to work with. All entries must be for sale, with the artist receiving 75% of the sale price and the Yadkin Arts Council retaining a 25% commission. Payment from sales will be made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit.

Entry Deadline: June 9, 2024 by midnight (Mountain Standard Time). Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable). Jury Process: June 10-12, 2024. Acceptance/Rejection Announcement: Via email by 5pm on June 14, 2024. Delivery of Accepted Artwork: June 24-27, 2024 (by appointment 9:30am-4pm). Opening Reception/Awards Ceremony: July 12, 2024 (5-7pm). Exhibit Dates: July 12-August 30, 2024. Pickup of Unsold Artwork: September 3, 2024. The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work while on its premises. Artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance.
