Yadkin Arts Council 2022 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council, located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC, is pleased to announce the 2022 Juried Art Exhibition, to be featured in the Welborn Gallery and Red Wall Gallery. Eligibility is open to 2D and 3D Fine Art artists who are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. The exhibition will award $3,500 in combined prizes: First Place $1,250, Second Place $850, Third Place $500, People's Choice 2D $150, People's Choice 3D $150, and six Honorable Mentions at $100 each. Artists may submit a maximum of two original works of art produced within the past three years. If selected to exhibit, only one submitted piece will be displayed. Submitted art must not have been previously shown at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Photography, commercial prints, and giclee are excluded; however, multi-media and post-process manipulated photography will be accepted subject to committee approval. 2D and 3D wall-hanging works may not exceed 36" (or 40" if framed) in width or 48" (or 52" if framed) in height and must be properly wired for hanging. 3D pieces requiring a pedestal must fit on a base no larger than 24"x15"; freestanding pieces must not exceed 40" in width or 72" in height. All entries must be for sale and remain on display until the end of the show with no early withdrawals.

Entry fee is $40 (non-refundable) and covers submission of up to two pieces. The Yadkin Arts Council retains 25% commission on all sales, with payment to artists within 30 days after the exhibit closes. Important dates: Entry deadline June 9, 2022 (midnight); Jury process June 10-12; Acceptance/rejection announcement by end of day (via email); Delivery of accepted artwork June 27-July 1, 2022 (by appointment 9:30am-4pm); Opening reception/awards ceremony July 15, 2022 (5-7pm); Exhibit dates July 15-September 2, 2022; Pickup of unsold artwork September 6, 2022. Accepted works may be hand-delivered or shipped; artists must include prepaid return shipping labels. Each piece must be labeled with artist name, address, phone, email, title, medium, and retail price (including the 25% commission). The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work on its premises; artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance.
