Yadkin Arts Council 2021 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council, located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC, is pleased to announce the 2021 Juried Art Exhibition. This exhibition will be featured in the Welborn Gallery and Red Wall Gallery and celebrates creativity in North Carolina. Eligibility is open to 2D and 3D fine art artists who are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. The juror is Affee Vickers.

Artists may submit a maximum of two original works of art produced within the past three years. Only one submitted piece will be selected for exhibition if the artist is chosen. Submitted art must not have been previously shown at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Categories excluded from entry are photography, commercial prints, and giclee. Multi-media and post-process manipulated photography will be accepted subject to committee approval. 2D and 3D works that hang on the wall may not exceed 36" (or up to 40" wide if framed) in width or 48" in height (or up to 52" if framed), and must be properly wired for hanging. 3D pieces requiring a pedestal must fit on a base no bigger than 24"x15", and freestanding pieces must not exceed 40" in width or 72" in height. All entries must be for sale and remain hanging until the end of the show with no early withdrawals.

The entry fee is $40 and covers the option to submit up to two pieces. Entry fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance. There is $3,500 in combined prizes: First Place $1,250, Second Place $850, Third Place $500, People's Choice 2D $150, People's Choice 3D $150, and six Honorable Mentions at $100 each. The Yadkin Arts Council will retain 25% commission of all sales, with payment made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit. The jury process occurs June 12-14, 2021, with acceptance/rejection announcements on June 15, 2021 via email. Delivery of accepted artwork is June 21-25, 2021 by appointment 9:30am-4pm. The opening reception and awards ceremony is July 1, 2021 from 5-7pm, with exhibit dates July 1-August 27, 2021. Unsold artwork pickup is August 30 & 31, 2021. The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work while on its premises; artists must provide their own incoming/outgoing shipping insurance.
