Yadkin Arts Council 2020 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council, located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC, invites 2D and 3D fine art artists to submit work for the 2020 Juried Art Exhibition. Eligibility is open to artists who are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. The exhibition will run from July 9 to September 1, 2020, with an opening reception tentatively scheduled for July 9, 2020.

Artists may submit a maximum of two original works. Submitted art must not have been previously shown at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Photography, commercial prints, and giclee are excluded; however, multi-media and post-process manipulated photography will be accepted subject to committee approval. All entries must be for sale. 2D and 3D works that hang on the wall may not exceed 40" in either direction, including frame, and must be properly wired for hanging. 3D pieces requiring a pedestal must fit on a base no larger than 24"x15". All work must remain hanging until the end of the show with no early withdrawals. The entry fee is $40 and covers submission of up to two pieces. The Yadkin Arts Council will retain 25% commission of all sales, with payment made to artists within 30 days after the exhibit closes.

Awards include First Place ($1,250), Second Place ($850), Third Place ($500), People's Choice 2D ($200), People's Choice 3D ($200), and Honorable Mentions ($100 each). Prizes will be awarded on July 9, 2020. Accepted work delivery is scheduled for June 27 (by appointment) and June 29–July 2, 2020 (Monday–Thursday, 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). Unsold art must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. on September 2 or 3, 2020. The Yadkin Arts Council insures all work while on its premises; artists must provide their own incoming and outgoing shipping insurance.
