Yadkin Arts Council 2019 Juried Exhibition

The Yadkin Arts Council, located at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center at 226 East Main Street in Yadkinville, NC, is pleased to announce the 2019 Juried Art Exhibition. This exhibition celebrates fine creativity in North Carolina. The juror is Bryce Hauser, Independent Artist, Curator, and Former Director of Artist Development & Programming and Gallery Coordinator for Associated Artists of Winston-Salem.

Eligibility is open to Fine Art artists in both 2D and 3D categories who are a minimum of 18 years of age and reside in North Carolina. Artists may submit a maximum of two original works of art. Submitted art must not have been previously shown at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. Categories excluded from entry are photography, commercial prints, and giclee. Entries must be for sale. Work may not exceed 40" in either direction, including frame and must be properly wired for hanging. No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. All work must remain hanging until the end of the show with no early withdrawals.

Awards include Best in Show: $1500, First Place 2D: $1000, and First Place 3D: $1000. Entry fee is $40 for up to two pieces. The Yadkin Arts Council will retain 25% commission of all sales. Payment from sales will be made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit. The exhibition runs July 12 – August 30, 2019, with an opening reception on July 12 at 5:30 p.m. Accepted entries must be delivered June 24-29, 2019 (M-F 9:30a-4:30p, Saturday 10:30a-2:30p). Unsold entries must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
