XX: Women 2020

XX: Women 2020 is an all-woman exhibition juried by Beverly McIver. The show celebrates the centennial anniversary of the 19th amendment and showcases the breadth and diversity of work created by contemporary self-identified women artists.

The exhibition is open to all members of the Women's Caucus for Art (WCA) and serves as the inaugural event for the WCA Carolinas chapter. Work of all media is welcome, though space will be a consideration in the selection process. All artwork must be installation ready and cannot exceed UPS or FedEx weight or size limits unless delivered and picked up in person. Artists are responsible for all shipping expenses. Each artist may submit up to three pieces along with an artist statement; artists may submit two views of three-dimensional work. Entry fee is $15.00.

Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place. The exhibition runs January 21 – February 19, 2021 at the CAB Gallery at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Work delivery deadline is January 8, 2021. The exhibition opening and reception is January 21, 2021, 5:30 – 7 p.m. A 30 percent commission will be retained by UNCW on all sales.
