WSNC Western Region Exhibition 2026

The 2026 WSNC Western Region Exhibition is open to all current WSNC members residing in the Western Region, including Associate, Signature, and Master Signature Members. Membership dues must be current at the time of entry. The exhibition will be presented both online and in person, hosted by the Art Place Gallery in Hendersonville, North Carolina, and will be on view from May 1–May 30, 2026. All eligible entries will be included in the online gallery for public viewing.

Artwork must be original creations completed after January 1, 2023, and not completed under instruction. Works cannot be copied from or substantially based on another artist's or photographer's work, and cannot include AI-generated or digitally produced imagery. Works previously exhibited in a WSNC Annual Juried Exhibition or any previous Regional Exhibition are not eligible. Acceptable media includes water-soluble media such as watercolor, gouache, water-based ink, casein, acrylic, egg tempera, and watercolor pencil, stick, or crayon, with water media visibly dominant. Collage, pastel, water-based oils, canvas, prints, reproductions, digital artwork, heavy impasto, texture gels, and excessive relief are not permitted. Artwork must be on natural or synthetic watercolor paper, watercolor board, Yupo, Aquabord, Claybord, or similar absorbent rigid supports, professionally framed and ready to hang. Maximum framed size is 44" on the longest side; minimum image size is 80 square inches.

Entry deadline is March 31, 2026. The non-refundable entry fee is $30, with a maximum of two entries per artist. Digital images must be submitted in JPEG format under 5 MB, at least 1,200 pixels on the longest side. Hand delivery of work is April 27, 11 AM–1 PM; pickup is June 1, 11 AM–1 PM. Due to space limitations, only one work per artist is guaranteed to be exhibited in the gallery. Awards include monetary prizes for First, Second, and Third Place in both Signature and Associate Member categories, judged in person by Pat Morgan. An Artist's Choice Award will be determined through online voting. Sales are facilitated through the Henderson County Art League with a 40% commission; the artist retains 60% of the sale price. Prices listed at entry cannot be changed during the exhibition. All artwork must be hand-delivered and picked up by the artist or authorized representative; shipped artwork will not be accepted.
