World of Wonder

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society invites submissions for "World of Wonder," a juried exhibition exploring the theme of wonder and beauty in the world. The theme is open to wide interpretation, from places and people to abstract concepts. The exhibition will take place both online and in person at the gallery in Pawtucket.

Eligibility: Open to all artists in the United States. Work must be 2D media excluding photography and digital art. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, collage, mixed media, monotype, and egg tempera. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and may not exceed 48 inches on the longest side including frame. Work must be presented professionally with proper framing or presentation. Submissions require 1-3 digital images. Entry fee is $20 for non-members, $15 for members. Media fee is $20.

Exhibition dates: September 17 - October 14. Notification of acceptance: September 1. Opening reception: September 24 (time TBA). Drop-off dates: September 1-15, Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm. Pick-up dates: October 15-29, Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm.
