Work//Shift Fellowship

Applications are now open for the Work//Shift Fellowship, a new 12-month fellowship from the Center for Cultural Innovation’s Research to Impact Lab. Applications are open through October 26, 2026. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we encourage interested applicants to apply early. Work//Shift brings together 8 organizers, builders, intellectuals, and policy thinkers working across industries shaped by precarious and gig work to ask: What could a social safety net designed for everyone actually look like? Through a hybrid learning experience, fellows will challenge dominant assumptions about work and safety nets, learn across sectors and lived experiences, build durable relationships and networks, and ideate new projects, policy ideas, and systems-level solutions.
