Works on Paper

The Firefly Artists invite artists nationwide to submit unframed, unmatted 2D original works on paper for "Works on Paper," a juried exhibition running July 18 - August 14, 2025 at the Darcy Arts Center, 90 Main Street, Northport, NY. Acceptable media includes drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, collage, and digital media. Maximum size is 36" x 36". All works must be for sale, and the gallery takes a 35% commission on sold pieces.

Entry fee is $35 for one piece, with up to two additional pieces at $5 each. A maximum of one piece per selected artist will be included in the exhibition. Submit 1-3 images of your work. Eligibility is open to all artists within the United States. Entries must be original, human-created artworks. AI-generated art, works created in workshops or classes under close instruction, and reproductions (except photography and digital art) are not eligible.

Artwork drop-off dates are Saturday, July 12 (12-8pm), Monday, July 14 (12-6pm), Tuesday, July 15 (12-5pm), and Wednesday, July 16 (12-8pm). Physical drop-off and pick-up are strongly preferred. Shipping is permitted with prepaid return labels required. Pick-up dates are Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 (both 12-8pm). A $5 per day storage fee applies for work left beyond August 17. On the back of each piece, include artist name, work title, date, and medium. Awards include First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention. Artists must provide their own insurance coverage. The gallery will photograph accepted works for publicity purposes including social media, website, and print publications.
