Works on Paper

Works on Paper is a juried exhibition of unframed, unmatted 2D works on paper. All artists within the United States are eligible. Acceptable media includes drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, collage, fabric, and digital media. Maximum piece size is 36" x 36". Entries can be original artwork or reproductions (including photography). All art must be for sale, and the gallery will take a 35% commission on sold pieces. The sale price provided during the application process may not be subsequently changed. The exhibition will be hung "clothespin style" at The Firefly Artists, 90 Main Street, Northport, New York, from August 1-30, 2023.

Entry fee is $35 for one piece, with up to three additional pieces at $5 each. Artists may submit up to three pieces, but only up to two pieces from each selected artist will be chosen for the exhibition. Work samples must include 1-3 images. Selected works must be delivered by July 27 (5:00pm-8:00pm) or July 29 (12:00pm-3:00pm). If shipping via UPS or FedEx, a prepaid return label must be included. Artwork pickup is available August 31 (5:00pm-8:00pm) or September 2 (3:00pm-5:00pm). A storage fee of $5 per day applies for pieces left beyond September 5, 2023.

Awards include First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention. On the back of each piece, include artist name, work title, date, and medium. Artists are responsible for insuring their own works. Note: The venue is located in a historic building with no wheelchair access.
