Works on Paper

The Firefly Artists invite artists nationwide to submit unframed, unmatted 2D original works on paper for "Works on Paper," a juried exhibition running August 1-31, 2024 at The Firefly Artists Gallery, 90 Main Street, Northport, NY. Works will be hung "Clothespin Style" throughout the gallery.

Eligible media includes drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, collage, and digital media. Maximum size is 36" x 36". All works must be original and for sale. AI-generated art, works created in workshops or classes under close instruction, and reproductions (except photography and digital art) are not eligible. Each applicant may submit one entry for $35, with up to two additional pieces for $5 each. A maximum of one piece per selected artist will be included in the exhibition.

Submission deadline is July 17, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Acceptance letters will be sent July 19. Physical drop-off is preferred on July 28 (10am-5pm) or July 29 (11am-6pm). Selected works may be picked up August 31 (10am-8pm) or September 1 (10am-5pm). A storage fee of $5 per day applies for pieces left beyond September 5. Awards include First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention. The gallery takes a 35% commission on sold works. Artists must provide insurance coverage for their own works. Sale prices must be provided during application and cannot be changed. On the back of each piece, include artist name, work title, date, and medium.
