Works on Paper

Works on Paper is a juried exhibition of unframed and unmatted 2D works on paper. All artists within the United States are eligible. Acceptable media includes drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, collage, fabric, and digital media. The exhibition will be hung "clothespin style" and will run for 4 weeks in The Darcy Gallery at The Firefly Artists in Northport, New York. Note: there is no handicapped access to this venue, which is located on the second floor of the historic building.

Entries must be original artwork (no reproductions except photography), unframed and unmatted, with a maximum size of 36" x 36". All art must be for sale. The gallery takes a 35% commission on sold pieces, and sale prices cannot be changed after the application process. Each artist may submit one entry for $35, with up to four additional pieces for $5 each. Up to two pieces from each selected artist will be chosen for the exhibition. Work may be delivered in person during drop-off dates (August 6-7, 2021) or shipped with a prepaid UPS return label by August 7, 2021. The exhibition runs August 14 - September 12, 2021, with an open house reception on August 21, 2021 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Cash awards will be given for First, Second, and Third Place. Artists are responsible for insuring their own works. A storage fee of $5 per day will be charged for pieces not picked up after September 30, 2021.
