Works on Paper

Webster Arts invites art submissions for the summer exhibit, Works on Paper, running July 15-August 30, 2019. Eligible work includes printmaking, book arts, pen & ink, sketching, drawing, etching, silk screen on paper, monoprinting, pastel, paper sculpture, hand-coated cyanotypes, VanDyke prints, and Polaroid emulsion lifts. No painting (watercolor, gouache, oil, acrylic, encaustic, enamels), collage, digital or traditional wet photography, floor or ceiling hung installations, or video. The exhibition is open to artists age 18 and older residing in the US or abroad. Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries. Submit up to three JPEG digital images (1000-1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi, 5 MB maximum). Submission deadline is Friday, June 14, 2019. Artists will be notified by email on Monday, June 24, 2019. Artwork may be hand-delivered July 1-3, 5, and 8 during office hours (9 am-4:30 pm), or shipped to arrive by Monday, July 8. The exhibit opening reception is Tuesday, July 16 from 6-8 p.m.

Wall pieces must be wired for hanging, no larger than 48" x 48", and weigh no more than 20 lbs. Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" x 32" x 60" or weigh more than 50 lbs. All work must be original and cannot have been previously exhibited at Webster Arts. An independent juror will select work for inclusion and cash prizes. Artists may be selected for solo or 2-3 person shows in the future. Webster Arts receives a 30% commission on all exhibition sales. Artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through pickup. Return shipping labels and postage must be included with shipped artwork. Pre-paid artwork return and in-person pickup available September 3-9 during office hours.
