About This Call

The Art & Music Committee selects Gallery shows from applications for exhibitions running January 2017 to January 2018. Exhibitions are installed for three months and rotate quarterly (January–March, April–June, July–September, October–December).

The gallery considers exhibitions and musical presentations that are educational, culturally significant, economically attainable, and fit within the gallery space. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are permissible, as are digital installations if the artist provides all required equipment. Community or group shows (three or more artists), theme shows curated by a curator, and state, regional, national, or international traveling exhibitions are welcome. Small ensemble groups, choral or instrumental, solo and duo musical performances are preferred. New works not previously displayed in the gallery receive priority. Reproductions are not accepted. Due to diverse audiences, non-nude subjects are preferred. Musical performances should present quality music of a healing nature appropriate to the environment.

Artwork is selected based on artistic excellence, originality, clarity of exhibition concept, and completeness of proposal. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of work. Art sales are permissible with a 35% gallery commission handled by YoloArts, a local nonprofit arts organization. Applications require an artist statement (1000 character limit), artist website and social media information, a bio (175 words or less), and 5 images or audio samples with outside dimensions. There is no entry fee or media fee. National eligibility.
