About This Call
Woodinville Arts Alliance is hosting its 1st annual Oktoberfest Art & Ale poster competition. The theme centers on beer, art, and Woodinville. The event takes place September 16th, 2023.
Artwork must be 11x17 inches, RGB, vertical orientation, submitted as JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF files. Artists may submit a maximum of 2 entries. The competition is open to all ages. Online submissions open Monday, April 10th, 2023, with a submission deadline of Friday, June 23rd, 2023. The winner will be announced on or before Friday, June 30th, 2023.
Artwork must be original and created only by the artist. Do not add watermarks to images. Label artwork with your full name, title, and medium (e.g., First_Last_Title_Medium). The selected winner must provide a high-resolution digital file within three days of notification. By participating, you agree to allow Woodinville Arts Alliance to use your submitted artwork in WAA-related marketing and merchandise, including social media, publications, news releases, online, merchandise, and newsletters.
Submit an artist statement (maximum 350 words) written in first person explaining your purpose and inspiration. You may include a short background. Artists may remain anonymous if they choose. The statement may be edited to fit WAA guidelines.
The winner receives a $100 Ethan Stowell Gift Certificate and 4 tickets to the Oktoberfest Art & Ale event. The chosen artwork will be used as the main graphic for promoting the campaign and in other digital media and merchandise by WAA.
