Wonder

Pour-d is a contemporary gallery in Rockford, Michigan, located in a historic building in the downtown area. The gallery invites artists to submit work to Wonder, a juried exhibition running November 5, 2022 through January 14, 2023, featured in the main gallery space. The opening reception is scheduled for November 5, 2022.

The exhibition theme explores wonder—what creates that feeling of surprise mingled with admiration? Artists are invited to submit work that captures something beautiful, unexpected, unfamiliar, or inexplicable. All mediums and genres are considered, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional work, digital art, photography, installation, and mixed media. Entry fee is $20 for up to 3 images. Submissions must include at least 1 image, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring in good condition.

Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping. Notifications are generally sent via email within 3 weeks of the deadline. Selected artists will be notified of their status. The gallery retains a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Payment to artists will be provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend the opening reception.
