About This Call
Women's Works is a juried fine art exhibition celebrating women artists of North America, presented annually by the Northwest Area Arts Council (NAAC). This 25th Anniversary Exhibit takes place at the Old Court House Arts Center on the Historic Town Square in Woodstock, Illinois. The exhibition runs from March 8 through April 29, 2012, with an Opening Reception on March 24, 2012 at 7 p.m. CST.
Women artists 18 or older may submit original work completed between January 2010 and January 2012. Submissions must include up to three digital images in .jpg format of up to three works, with a maximum of two works per artist accepted by the jury. All work must be for sale and available for the entire exhibition period. Work is subject to a 30% commission. Gallery size limitation is eight feet in any single dimension and 50 lbs. The entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images ($25.00 for current NAAC members, applicants to Real People 2011, and qualified students with coupon code). Cash prizes totaling more than $1,000 will be awarded. Entry deadline is January 19, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be emailed the first week of February 2012. Works not picked up by June 30, 2012 will become the property of NAAC. The artist is responsible for insuring work to and from the show. A concurrent exhibition, the Fifteenth Annual Little Women's Works, features young women artists.
