About This Call

Women's Works is a juried fine art exhibition celebrating women artists, presented annually by the Northwest Area Arts Council (NAAC). The 23rd Anniversary Exhibit takes place at the Old Court House Arts Center on the Historic Town Square in Woodstock, Illinois, from March 4 through April 24, 2010. The exhibition features an Opening Reception on March 13, 2010 at 7 p.m. CST, which typically draws over 500 people. Running concurrently is the Thirteenth Annual Little Women's Works, featuring young women artists.

Women artists 18 or older may submit original work completed between January 2008 and January 2010. Collaborative works require prior approval from NAAC. Each artist may submit up to three digital images of up to three works. All work must be for sale and available for the entire exhibition period. Gallery size limitation is eight feet in any single dimension and 50 lbs. No previously submitted works will be accepted. The entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images ($30.00 for current NAAC members and qualified students with coupon code). An additional $5 discount is available for entries received before December 15, 2009. Cash prizes totaling more than $1,000 will be awarded.

The entry deadline is January 19, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Early bird deadline is November 30, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Entries must include artist name, artwork title, price (including 30% commission), materials list, up to three .jpg images, and optional artist statement (maximum 150 words). Accepted works are subject to a 30% sales commission. A maximum of two works per artist may be accepted. Notifications will be emailed the first week of February 2010. Works not picked up by June 30, 2010 will become the property of NAAC. Contact [email protected] for questions or special circumstances.
