Women's Exhibition

A call to women artists to share their perspectives through visual arts, poetry, short stories, spoken word, comedy, song, and film. The exhibition seeks the voices of women, including trans women, queer women, and women of all cultures, ethnicities, and ages. New ideas that challenge conventions are encouraged.

Visual arts submissions in all mediums are accepted for jury, including 2D, 3D, installation, and works on paper and paintings. Submit 1-3 JPEG entries. Poetry, academic papers, and short stories should be sent to [email protected]. Video submissions will be accepted for short films. The opening night will include an open mic for spoken word, stand-up comedy, and song.

Entry fees: $35 for EHCC members, $45 for non-members. Deadline for non-Hawaii residents: June 5. Deadline extension for local entries only: June 20 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notice of acceptance: June 10. All accepted works must arrive by June 30. Exhibition opening reception: July 6. Exhibition runs July 6-27. Jurors include Jacqueline Flowers and Meidor Hu for visual arts, and Susan Schultz for poetry.
