About This Call
The Women Environmental Artists Directory (WEAD) is sponsoring a competition to commission an award trophy for Wells Fargo's Green Teams. Wells Fargo's Environmental Affairs team wishes to award a traveling trophy to one of 45 Green Teams across the country, comprised of Wells Fargo employees, given quarterly to recognize green initiatives.
The trophy must be recognizable as made from trash or refuse, valued as a precious prize, and unique. It should have a maximum size of 18 in. W x 24 in. H x 12 in. D and weigh no more than 25 lbs. The trophy must be durable and pack and travel well, with reusable packaging that fits in an office cubicle. It will travel four times per year across the country. Green Team names or stories about their projects can be added to the trophy. The design should align with Wells Fargo's brand messaging and values, including social responsibility, ethics, and diversity.
Eligibility is open to all professional ecoartists residing within the United States. Applicants should submit eight images of past work and a brief written proposal by September 13, 2010. Three finalists will be selected and awarded $200 honorarium each to submit a detailed maquette and supporting documentation. The winning artist will receive a $2,000 commission to produce and deliver the final artwork. Payment schedule: $1,000 upon notification as winner, $1,000 upon acceptance of final artwork. Final artwork is due December 6, 2010. Contact Judith Blankman at [email protected] or Sharon Siskin at [email protected] with questions.
