Women Artists of the West: Mountain Summertime

Mountain Summertime is an exhibition held at Joyous Lake Gallery, 1869 East White Mountain Blvd., Pinetop Lakeside, AZ 85935, running August 30 through September 20, 2010. The show is open to all Women Artists of the West members in good standing and will be held during peak visitor traffic in this mountain community, attracting both tourists and owners of the area's 14,000 second homes.

Artists may submit up to three images of original work created within the last two years and not previously shown in Arizona at Joyous Lake Gallery. Work must be for sale and shipped to the gallery. A wide diversity of fine art in both subject matter and mediums is encouraged. Paintings must be framed in gallery quality frames and wired for hanging. Most works should be smaller, though a few works up to 24" x 30" (720 sq. inches) will be considered; sculpture can be any size with gallery owner permission. Retail pricing must be in line with current gallery prices. The gallery commission is 35% of retail price, with an additional 5% going to WAOW.

Entry fee is $35 for digital submissions through CallForEntry.org. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance both ways. The gallery will crate and ship accepted works back using artists' prepaid shipping materials for a $15 per box fee. Accepted artists will be notified by July 25, with shipped work arriving August 15-25. Unsold paintings will begin shipping back to artists after September 25.
