Women Artists of the West: A Mountain Holiday

"A Mountain Holiday" is an exhibition at Joyous Lake Gallery in Pinetop Lakeside, AZ, running December 1-29, 2009. This show is open to all WAOW Members in Good Standing and features small works in both 2D and 3D media. There is no theme requirement; artwork should not be themed for specific holidays. Artists may submit up to three images. All works must be original.

Work Requirements: Image size cannot exceed 9"x12" or 108 square inches; sculpture size is more flexible (contact gallery for medium-sized or larger works). Paintings must be framed in gallery quality frames and wired for hanging. All works must be for sale at retail prices in line with current gallery pricing. The gallery takes a 35% commission on sales. An artist's biography (without personal contact information) must be included with the shipment.

Submission and Fees: Entry fee is $25 per person for digital submission through CaFÉ at www.callforentry.org. The deadline for digital entries is October 15, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. An alternative October 1 deadline applies for CD or slide submissions (additional $40 processing fee if WAOW prepares submission, plus $5 per slide scan fee). Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance both ways. A $15 per box fee is required for gallery crating and return shipping. Accepted work must arrive at the gallery by November 24-28. Notifications of accepted work are mailed November 5. Return shipping begins January 7, with a four to five week processing period.
