About This Call
This scholarship program awards funding in two categories: the Designer Category for students in studio jewelry programs applying with finished pieces they designed and created themselves, and the Non-Designer Category for those studying to become bench jewelers, gemologists, appraisers, retailers, or watch makers.
Designer Category applicants must submit: a short essay explaining their career goals in jewelry or watches; three digital images ranked by significance showing examples of recent work with brief descriptions including materials used, size, and significance of each piece; and a completed entry form. Entry fee is $10.00 and three images are required.
Non-Designer Category applicants must submit: an essay of no more than 1000 words addressing what program they are applying for, their motivation for attending, why they deserve the scholarship, their career goals in the jewelry or watch industries, and how the industry will benefit from their receiving the scholarship; a blank image upload to process the application; and a completed entry form. Images are not required for this category.
