WJA Diva Design Competition 2011

This year's theme, GREEN DIVA: Responsible Jewels For Today's Conscious Consumer, reflects the competition's focus on recycled, reclaimed, repurposed and ethically mined materials that fits in with the responsible jewelry movement. Designers are invited to submit entries in each of the Green Diva categories: Daytime Jewel, Evening Jewel, and Men's Jewel. Each entry should design a jewel that shines a light on the responsible jewelry movement – materials that are ethically mined, designs that feature recycled or reclaimed materials and carry a message through their theme and/or materials that fine jewelry can be GREEN jewelry.

Entry fee is $35.00 for the first entry, with a $20.00 media fee for a second or third entry. Submissions must include 1-3 images. Judging will be completed by May 10th with winners notified soon after. First place winners in each category will receive a cash prize of $750 and a crystal award. First and second runner-up entrants in each category will receive a certificate of achievement. All award recipients will be invited to attend the WJA DIVA news conference the afternoon of Friday, June 3, at The JCK Las Vegas Show, where they will be recognized as a WJA DIVA award recipient. Award recipients also will be invited to attend the WJA reception later that evening. WJA will recognize the award recipients in a news release sent to all jewelry trade media.
