With (re)PURPOSE: A Recycling Fine Art Exhibition

9th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition at the South Haven Center for the Arts. WITH (re)PURPOSE is a recycling fine art exhibition running September 15 - November 3, 2018. The exhibition invites artists to breathe new life into recycled, found or obsolete items. Submissions should demonstrate how one person's trash can be another person's treasure. Both 2-D and 3-D work are acceptable with repurposed material encouraged. All media are welcome with a maximum size of 36" in any direction.

This call is open to all artists 18 years of age or over in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. All work must be original and completed in the last three years. The entry fee is $30.00 for up to two pieces of artwork, submitted as digital JPG images. Each work requires a title and a brief statement explaining how the piece relates to the theme. Awards include $100 for 1st Place, $50 for 2nd Place, and $25 for 3rd Place. Jurors are Lawrence, Michigan artists Jeff and Theresa Heaton.

Accepted work must be framed and/or installation ready, wired with no sawtooth hangers or clip frames with exposed glass edges. Work must be labeled with artist's contact information, title, medium, and price. Delivery of accepted work is September 4-8, 2018, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 15, 1 to 4pm. Pickup is November 6-10, 2018. Exhibited work may be sold at the specified price with a 35% commission to SHCA.
