About This Call
The Commissioners' Choice program is an artist invitational providing exhibition opportunities at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Each year, the Lone Tree Arts Commission supports emerging and professional Colorado-based artists by providing a venue to display their work in a public setting. The invitational is open to the public, and artists are encouraged to submit applications for consideration of solo and group exhibitions. Submissions should have an educational and informative component and demonstrate a meaningful body of work.
Proposals must include an artist/concept statement for the exhibition (500 words maximum), a resume for each artist to be in the exhibit (including website address, exhibition history, gallery experience, awards and reviews), and 10-20 professionally photographed digital images formatted to Café guidelines. A typical Commissioners' Choice Exhibition showcases between 35-40 pieces of work. An annotated exhibition checklist may be requested for presentation to the Lone Tree Arts Commission and City Council.
Entry fee is $20.00. Submissions may be made at any time, with the team meeting regularly to review artists' submissions. If interested in presenting artwork or with questions about an application, the Lone Tree Arts Center will contact the artist.
