Winter in America

Gallery 114, an artist-owned and artist-run collective located in Portland, Oregon's Pearl District, invites artists to explore the theme "Winter in America." The gallery seeks innovative work that tests boundaries and demonstrates creative freedom with underlying quality and integrity. All 2 and 3 dimensional media are welcome, with works must be original. Individual pieces should not exceed 7 feet in height and 5 feet in width, with prices not exceeding $5,000 per piece.

Submit 1-3 images of your work through CAFE at CallForEntry.org by December 4, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $30 for three submissions. Artists will be notified of acceptance on December 8, 2018. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. on December 29, 2018. Local artists may hand-deliver during gallery hours (12-6 p.m. Thursday-Sunday) or arrange special delivery. Shipping must be via FedEx only; artists are responsible for all shipping and return shipping costs. Each accepted entry must be installation-ready, framed or encased with appropriate hanging hardware, installation instructions, and clearly labeled with the artist's name and work title.

The exhibition runs from January 3 to February 2, 2019. A preview reception for local artists and members is January 2, 2019 at 7:00-8:30 p.m., with the opening reception on January 3, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. Gallery 114 will insure works on site for their market value and may photograph work for the gallery website, press releases, and social media. All sales are handled through Gallery 114 with a 35% commission. Local artists must pick up work by 6 p.m. on February 2, 2019; shipped work will be returned within two weeks following the close of the exhibition.
