Winter Art Show - City of Frisco, TX

Frisco Cultural Affairs seeks two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks for the sixth annual "Winter Art Show" exhibition. Artworks must thematically or conceptually relate to winter, such as snowflakes, holidays, wintry woodlands and creatures, winter-time activities and sports, frozen landscapes, snow-capped mountains, or other winter-related themes.

All types of artistic media will be considered. All artworks must be framed, wired, and ready to display or hang. Pieces may not be larger than 72" in any direction. Sculptural pieces must be coordinated with staff, and artists must submit photos of the completed sculpture or detailed sketches of the structure and elements of the installation. Artworks must be unifying, community-centric, and family-friendly.

This open call is eligible to artists in Texas who are ages 18 and up. Submission is free and includes up to five (5) images. If selected for the exhibition, a $30 entry fee is due by check or credit card prior to load-in, along with a signed Gallery Guidelines document and Artist Release Form. Load-in is Sunday, 12/10/23 between 12PM-2PM at Frisco Discovery Center, 8004 N. Dallas Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75034. The public closing reception is Sunday, 1/14/24 from 3-4:30PM with awards announced at 4PM. Load-out is directly after the closing reception from 4:30PM-5:30PM.
