Winter Art Odyssey

Art Mozaik Gallery is accepting entries for the Winter Art Odyssey, a juried art competition open to artists from all over the United States. The competition seeks unique interpretations of winter that go beyond familiar imagery, embracing everything from stark solitude to cozy gatherings. Artists are encouraged to submit work that pushes creative boundaries and offers new perspectives on winter's impact on nature, humanity, and imagination. Submissions are welcome in various mediums, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and digital art. The gallery is especially looking for work that demonstrates freshness and innovation, uniqueness and originality, demonstrated excellence of technique, and strong color and intensity.

Applications are accepted from living artists over the age of 18. All works must be original and for sale, with a minimum price of $150. Artworks must be no larger than 320 square inches (16" x 20") including frame. No copies, diptychs, computer-generated work, or works produced as part of class instruction are accepted. All accepted artworks must be ready to hang or display with proper hardware. Entry fee is $45. Submissions require 1-3 images. The submission deadline is December 27, 2024 at 12 a.m. Artwork must arrive by January 7, 2025. The exhibition runs January 10 - February 7, 2025, with a reception on January 10 from 5-7 p.m. Notification of acceptance is January 4, 2025. Unsold works may be picked up February 8-10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Artists from outside New Mexico should provide a return shipping label; without one, return shipping costs of $80 will be the artist's responsibility.
