Wings & Water: A Juried Exhibition of 2D and 3D Art

River Arts, Inc. seeks 2-D and 3-D artists to participate in a juried exhibition titled "Wings & Water." The exhibition features works of birds, insects, fish, animals, botanicals, water and/or shore environment, and related subjects. All styles, media, and techniques are accepted. Works must be original.

Entry fee is $35 for one entry; additional entries are $10 each with a maximum of four entries allowed. Submissions are limited to 4 images. Submissions must include title, media, size, and price. Two-dimensional work must be framed (if glazing, plexiglass only) and wired for hanging. Three-dimensional work has a maximum size limit of 5 feet. Sculpture requiring plexi encasement should have encasement as part of the work. No sawtooth or clip hangers are permitted.

Acceptances and regrets will be sent by January 16, 2014. Artwork is due at River Arts on Water by February 25, 2014. The exhibition runs March 7 - May 6, 2014, with an opening reception on March 13, 2014 from 5pm-7pm. The juror will award $500 to "Best of Show." Martha Glowacki, the juror, holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently director of the James Watrous Gallery of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. Though NFS (not for sale) works will be accepted, works for sale are encouraged. Artists retain 65% of sales with 35% retained by River Arts Inc. Artist is responsible for shipping and insurance costs to and from the venue. Artwork will be insured by River Arts Inc. during the exhibition. Artwork will be returned to the artist by May 12, 2014.
